ClearLift and Laser Tattoo Removal

ClearLift™: A Revolutionary Way to Younger Skin

What is ClearLift™ Laser Treatment?

ClearLift™ Laser treatment is a skin resurfacing solution from Alma Lasers that reveal fresher, healthier and more beautiful skin without any pain or down-time.ClearLift™ is a non-invasive, non-ablative approach to skin resurfacing that uses 1064nm Q-Switched laser technology. This technology is an advanced version of the Pixel Q-Switch that penetrates deep beneath the skin. The rejuvenating effectshappen below the intact skin, bypassing the epidermis. That means no cuts and no wounds. The treatment is extraordinarily gentle and pain-free.WithClearLift™ patients enjoy faster, more comfortable treatments with visible results and no post-treatment downtime.

How it is done?

ClearLift™is a state of the art laser treatment alternative to traditional skin resurfacing and surgical face lifts. The process begins by cleansing the skin andthen the 1064nm Q-Switchedlaser passes through patented optics to penetrate the intact skin surface. This creates controlled microscopic perforations or tiny holes in the skin, this is done without harming or breaking the skin. These tiny holes heal rapidly, encouraging collagen production, skin healing and repair. Throughout the entire process, all stages of healing and skin repair occur under the intact epidermis.

Since ClearLift™works within the skin, heating up skin cells up to 3mm deep there is no need for topical anaesthesia or numbing gels. A finishing cream may be applied after treatment and then normal skin care routine can be applied. Some treatments can be performed in as little as 20 minutes, many are calling it the “lunch time face lift.” While many patients experience immediate visible results after one treatment, some patients may require several sessions depending on the skin type and area being treated. It is recommended to have a series of 3 to 6 sessions for better results and regular follow-up treatments performed every 6 months.

Will it work for me?

ClearLift™ is for people who are looking to reverse signs of sun damage and aging including fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration. It is also used to treat people with skin conditions such as rosacea, melasma, pigmented and vascular lesions, nail fungus and more. When used for cosmetic treatments, the best candidates are those with mild to moderate skin laxity. They should be in good health and are prepared to commit to their skin care. Since it is a non-ablative treatment it can be can be performed on all skin types.

What results can I expect?

ClearLift™laser works deep within the skin, stimulating collagen growth that visibly reduces pores and decreases fine lines and wrinkles eliminating the need for dermal fillers or Botox. The treatment also smoothens acne scars, stretch marks and tightens loose skin anywhere in the body. ClearLift™ works well at blending uneven pigmentation caused by Melasma due to pregnancy or oral contraceptives. It has also been used to treat Rosacea, broken capillaries, and spider veins. While it delivers powerful effects, the 1064 Q-Switched laser is gentle enough to treat sensitive areas that cannot be done with traditional ablative lasers. It can be used in delicate skin around neck, mouth, chest and even the eyes lightening under eye circles. ClearLift™ transforms tired-looking, uneven, wrinkles and even pockmarked skin into flawless, radiant and glowing skin.

Laser Tattoo Removal Works!

Over the past decade, getting tattooed has become more common. This also mean more tattoo mistakes and regrets, creating a need for an effective tattoo removal procedure. There are several tattoo removal methods available in the market today although not all yield effective results. Some methods are prone to scarring and changing the skin’s texture. That is the reason why laser tattoo removal remains one of the most effective and recommended removal method.

Laser tattoo removal uses a Q-switched laser, depending on the type of tattoo. It is a relatively gentle laser that effectively removes tattoos with very little risk of scarring or changing the skin’s texture and pigmentation. Removing a tattoo via Q-switched laser is painful, patients may be given some form of numbing agent or topical anaesthesia cream. During treatment, pulses of light from the laser are directed onto the tattoo, breaking up the tattoo pigment.A topical broad-spectrum antibacterial ointment is applied immediately following the procedure to protect the treated area from infection. An ice pack may also be used to soothe the area.

Not all lasers are created equal and certain lasers work better at targeting specific colored pigments.Amateur tattoos, those done in a single color often require less sessions. Professional multi-colored tattoos take longer to remove since it will require several types of lasers with different wavelengths. There is no one laser system that can remove all types of pigments or their combination.

These are the types of Q-switched lasers used in tattoo removal:

• Q-switched1064 nm Nd:YAGlaser works best in removing black and blue pigments
• Q-switched 532 nm Nd:YAG laser is used to remove primarily red pigments
• Q-switched ruby laser (694 nm) and Q-switched alexandrite laser (755 nm) are both used to removing black, blue and green pigments

Getting a tattoo removed takes much longer time than getting a tattoo done. Patients should expect to come back for several treatments to achieve expected results.Over the next several weeks the body’s macrophages remove the treated pigmented areas. The length and number of sessions will depend on the size, color and type of the tattoo being removed. The depth of the tattoo and the color of the patient’s skin also affect the removal process.

While laser tattoo removal is deemed as safe, some have adverse reactions ranging from change in skin texture, scarring, pigmentary changes and some can also have allergic reactions. If you have certain skin conditions, it is best to get the opinion of your doctor before going in for tattoo removal.

Despite the risks, laser tattoo removal is still the most recommend removal method because of its proven advantages, including:

• Safe way to remove tattoos with minimal risk
• Effective treatment for dark tattoo inks (black, blue and green)
• Dramatic results after several treatments
